Once again I look up and five months have gone by since the last time this commentary has been updated. I'd like to say we'll be more concientious in keeping up-to-date but past experience says otherwise. We'll see, maybe we can get to every other month.

Anyway time moves on, we've been in New York over a year now. More then ever moving to New York was the right thing. We enjoy life in the city. We're still in our Brooklyn apartment with its proximity to Prospect Park and Manhattan only a subway ride away.

Sue is in the last phase of recovery from her second and last foot surgery. She is very pleased with the results and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to purchase new shoes that fit the new shape of her feet. She continues to manage the Partners & Crime bookstore. There are daily adventures in dealing with the vagaries of keeping a small independent bookstore operational. The opportunity to meet many mystery authors, well known and otherwise, is one of the benefits.

History Behind The Scenes, Sue's consulting (ad)venture is taking shape with a few small jobs. Now that the foundation is set, activity should pick up in the coming months.

My Web and eCommerce adventures with Charming Interactive continue. We successfully launched the online store at www.catherines.com. Catherines is just the first of the Charming Shoppes retail chains which Charming Interactive is bringing to the Internet.

We continue in our non work activities in and around the NYC metro area. Sue regularly pursues Shape Note singing with various groups. We regularly go to live acoustic, singer/songwriter, folk performances having recently seen Kate Rusby, Eliza Gilkyson, Tom Rush and Maura O'Connell. Theatre has been sparse but looks to pickup as more subscription performances at the Roundabout theatre are about to kick in.

As for family artistic endeavors, we saw Andrea in her latest piece Claude and are looking forward to the May 16th performance of The Mary Shelley Opera. Deborah Atherton, Sue's sister, is the lyracist.

Hilary continues to work at NYU Hospital and Jared is pursuing a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at Bridgeport University.
