Dear Friends and Family

Here we are in sunny Arizona … something nowhere near the horizon a year ago.

Rich, his projects in the New York office complete, accepted a transfer to Tucson in April. He is now HTML Project Manager for Charming Technical Services West, where he continues to launch ecommerce websites for Charming Interactive/ Charming Shoppes, Inc. The move west gave him a new acoustic music scene to discover. He and Susan moved into a spacious apartment in the Cheney House, a restored 1905 adobe home, complete with pool. See pictures.

Susan spent 2007 serving as conference planner for ALHFAM [museum professional group] in Santa Fe, developing the interpretive plan for the farmhouse at Howell Living History Farm in New Jersey, and moving in June. Here in Tucson, she found herself on the board of the Fox Tucson Theatre, a restored 1930 movie theatre now a performance venue, involved with the development of a neighborhood pocket park and volunteering in the NICU [neonatal intensive care unit] at University Medical Center. She has a new project set to go for spring.

The family lost Susan’s aunt, Jane Atherton Roman, in September. She passed away at 91, after a very eventful life, which included service overseas during World War II with the OSS and a long career at the CIA. Jane was a touchstone for Susan and will be missed very much.

Andrea and Bobby Previte are engaged. Their performance project, The Separation, played in Minneapolis and Buffalo. They’ve also completed a DVD version and look forward to a joint fellowship at the McDowell Colony early in 2008.

Hilary and Josh made the biggest move of the family in February – from Richmond to Honolulu. Their business, Ravenchase Adventures, opened a Hawaiian branch. Hilary is now a policy analyst with the Hawaii Medical Service Association and Josh is the Associate Director of Development at the Hawaii Theatre Center. Susan and Rich plan to visit in March.

Jared and Seema have officially left student life behind. Jared is now developing a practice as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist. He has a professional website www.jaredhanson.com. Seema continues to teach Art History at NYU on an adjunct basis.

We wish you and yours all the very best for 2008.
